How to Install kmer software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

kmer software package provides suite of tools for DNA sequence analysis, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install kmer

kmer is installed in your system.

Make ensure the kmer package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kmer *

You will get with kmer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
